Daniel G. Johnson, President
Johnson has been around the world three times while producing for DWJ. He also produced the first satellite video feed for TV stations and pioneered in Internet video distribution. Before founding DWJ, Johnson produced the “10 O’Clock News” at WNEW-TV in New York where he earned an Emmy nomination. Prior to WNEW, Johnson was a senior editor at ABC News. He began his professional career working for United Press International in Pittsburgh and Chicago before joining WBBM in Chicago. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and has won many public relations awards for his video productions. He is a member of the Radio-Television Digital News Association, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Public Affairs Council, the International Association of Business Communicators and the Broadcast Education Association.

Michael L. Friedman, Executive Vice President & Partner
Prior to co-founding DWJ with Dan Johnson, Friedman worked at ABC Radio Network as a writer and producer. His earlier experience includes, news, sports and programming positions at major stations in Missouri and Pennsylvania. He has been involved in hundreds of Satellite Media Tours and videos, traveling to 48 of the 50 states and as far abroad as South Africa and Japan. He has been a frequent speaker in the U.S. and Europe. He has an MA in journalism from the University of Missouri.

Andrew McGowan, President, DWJ’s PCS subsidiary
McGowan has produced videos for many organizations, including the City College of New York, Mercer Delta Management Consulting, Clove Lake Rehabilitation Center; the Academies of Periodontology, Family Practice, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; the Consumer Specialties Products Association, Prevent Blindness, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the Institute of Food Technology. He is one of the country’s leading experts on public service advertising, and taught public service public relations at New York’s School of Visual Arts. He has served on committees of the Public Relations Society of America and as an officer of its New York Chapter. Before joining PCS, he was manager of public relations at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City.

Robin DeAngelis, VP, Placement Director & Senior Account Executive
Robin DeAngelis began her career as a college intern/guest coordinator at WNYW-TV (WNEW-TV) for the very popular and award winning talk show, “Midday with Bill Boggs.” Two programs that Robin co-produced were nominated for a New York Daytime Emmy Award. Robin later became creative services assistant in WNYW-TV’s creative services/publicity/ promotion department. She quickly moved up the ranks, eventually becoming senior publicist/manager of all publicity for all local and national programming, station talent and news. She next moved from WNYW to DWJ Television specializing in SMT, RMT and PSA placement. She then formed her own firm, Media Placement Services, and merged with Modern Media Services to form Direct Media Services. Twelve years later she returned to DWJ as executive director of media placement and to spearhead their new media department.

Gloria Wolford Johnson, Senior Vice President and Chief Script Editor
Johnson, better known by her alias Nicki Johnson, joined DWJ after working for a decade at United Press International, where she went from reporter to the wire service’s first woman general news editor. At DWJ, she has written and produced prize-winning videos in a variety of lengths, for a variety of purposes for a variety of clients, ranging from ExxonMobil to the Junior League. She holds a B. A. in journalism from the Pennsylvania State University and is a member of the Radio-Television Digital News Association. She also contributes regularly to Patch.com and can be found on Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin.

Cammy Seidel Bourcier, Senior Vice President and Senior Producer
Before joining DWJ, Bourcier was a news writer and associate producer at WABC-TV, ABC’s flagship station in New York. Earlier she wrote and edited for the Associated Press Broadcast Wire. Bourcier, who holds an M.A. in journalism from New York University, also worked at KDFW in Dallas and in the CBS network news division. In years with DWJ, she has worked closely with health care and food clients, including Merck and General Mills, and has a proven ability to drive projects from concept through post production. She has also produced numerous prize-winning videos, including “Heirless Art: the Mauerbach Benefit Sale,” which won ten industry awards.

Tracey Samson, Senior Producer Samson first joined the DWJ team right after graduating from Barnard College, working as an assistant in the company’s Manhattan office. She went on to work at Time Warner and Connecticut Public Television before coming back to DWJ in 2007. Samson now serves as coordinating producer for satellite and in-studio media tours, making sure that everything runs smoothly.

Mia Toschi, Senior Producer Mia Toschi is an award-winning TV reporter and anchor on News 12 Networks in the New York City metro area. Her reports have also been seen on CNN Headline News. Toschi has also worked as an overseas photojournalist. Her photos have appeared on the covers of several national magazines. She has covered such high profile stories as the tsunami in South East Asia, the Aids crisis in South Africa, Hurricane Katrina as well as several Presidential campaigns. Toschi lived overseas for much of her reporting career and returned to New Jersey three years ago where she began working as a Senior Producer for DWJ Television in Ridgewood, New Jersey. She has co-produced podcasts and satellite media tours for several clients including: Yoplait, Pennzoil, and Rums of Puerto Rico.

Anita Fethes Mayo, Senior Vice President, Operations Mayo keeps DWJ projects on time, on track and on budget. She has extensive experience in planning and scheduling productions both in the United States and abroad. She also oversees arrangements for satellite feeds. Mayo holds a B.A. from Rutgers University.

Anthony Buysse, Director of Videography Prior to joining DWJ, Buysse produced and directed at WNYC-TV and WNYE in New York. With DWJ, Buysse has shot video from the jungles of Irian Jaya to the boardrooms of some of America’s largest corporations. In 1998, he earned an Excellence in Videography Award from the National Press Photographers Association. He has also been an adjunct lecturer for television production courses at Michigan State University. Buysse holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Brooklyn College.

Rob Miller, Chief Technology Officer Miller joined DWJ in 1996 and oversees all of the company’s Internet operations, including Webcasting, Podcasting, Virtual Edit Sessions, and Web site development. He also serves as DWJ’s Webmaster and manages the company servers and other computer operations. Prior to joining the DWJ staff, he worked as a network engineer at Villanova University. Miller graduated from Villanova with a degree in communications.

Post Production

Verne Mattson, Senior Editor and Producer
Before coming to DWJ as a full-time staff member in 1998, Mattson worked as a senior Avid editor for The Phoenix Communications Group/Major League Baseball Productions. His nationally syndicated “This Week in Baseball” was an Emmy nominee. Mattson is an expert in all things Avid and Final Cut Pro, and also has extensive experience in the use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects. He received his B.A. in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University.

Amelia Alati, Editor and Producer
Alati joined the company in 1991 when DWJ acquired PCS, a leading producer and distributor of broadcast public service campaigns, and has become one of DWJ’s most creative audio and video editors. Prior to joining PCS, Alati worked at WNEW-TV in New York, writing and editing on-air promos. Alati holds a B.A. in Communications from City University’s Hunter College.

Media Placement

Cynthia Wagner Boseski Senior Vice President and General Manager
Boseski has spent her entire career at, beginning in the mailroom and moving up the ladder as her organizational and computer skills proved invaluable to the company. She worked closely with A. C. Nielsen on their beta version of SIGMA and continues to suggest ways to improve network and cable monitoring for the public relations industry. She designed DWJ’s current PSA and VNR reporting system to allow for quick and easy access to our encoded airings. She also analyzes the data to come up with strategies to improve placement efforts. Boseski is also an experienced theater producer, with productions of such shows as “Into the Woods,” “Oklahoma,” “Oliver,” and, “Stages of Life,” which received a nomination for outstanding production of an original musical from the New Jersey Association of Community Theatres.

Jennifer Pegan PSA Coordinator Pegan joined DWJ in 2006 after graduating from Pace University with a degree in English and Communications. She coordinates all aspects of DWJ’s PSA campaigns, making sure the dubbing is done, all the print material is in place and distribution begins on time. Prior to joining DWJ she worked for Steinrich Communications. And while a student at Pace in 2003, she did an internship with the CBS TV Media Relations Department.
